Yoga at your workplace
Yoga classes at work helps with focus and concentration, well-being and health, developing a sense of team spirit, and reducing stress – which can all lead to a good working atmosphere and better productivity. In order to reap the benefits of yoga a weekly commitment is recommended. To that end I offer yoga at work in 4-week blocks, the same day and time each week, for an hour-long session. I can provide mats and props or people are welcome to bring their own.
It’s simple to set up yoga sessions at your work. A warm space that can have an area clear of furniture is the first thing. Then decide on a time that would suit you and your colleages/employees: before work, during lunchtime or after work - or any other time during the day. The only upper limit to the number of students is the available space, but there would need to be a minimum of four students to start a class.
In each class we warm up with simple movements, and will focus on postures that help release muscle tension, build up flexibility and strength. Good alignment will help to relieve/prevent musculoskeletal problems. Students are always encouraged to exert themselves only as far as they feel comfortable. Balance and a sense of focus and concentration through the postures improve with time and regular effort. The benefits, both physical and deeper, are discussed on the gentle yoga class page and the general class page too. |
Please feel free to contact me if you would like to talk about this possibility more or to arrange a free initial visit to look at the space and to make a booking.
